Exams 2016-2017

A Level

This has been an outstanding year for our students , particularly at a time of uncertainty with the new A levels. The results achieved are amongst our very best ever with 71% of exams passed at A*-B. 71 students got 2 or more A grades and 42 girls got 3 or more As and A*s. All our Oxbridge and medicine applicants secured their places.

Congratulations to students and staff on this tremendous achievement. These results mean they can move on to the next stage of their lives with confidence, ready to make a difference in the world.

GCSE Results

We arecelebrating another fantastic set of results at BSG.
All of our pupils met the old national gold standard of 5 GCSEs at A*-C/9-4 including English and Maths. 64.13% of all exams taken were passed at A or A*/ grades 7-9. Overall we have had an increase in the number of girls gaining all top grades with a third of the year group getting 10 or more As and A*s /grades 7-9. Particularly impressive was the fact that 21% of both English and English literature grades were at the new top grade 9. Together with our A level results this has been an outstanding year which we can all take pride in and share in the girls’ success.
