Former pupils and staff from across the generations came together to celebrate the centenary of Bournemouth School for Girls on Saturday 14 th July. The reunion held at the school drew over 500 guests. Guest Joy Taylor, a pupil at the school in the 1930s could recall the school's first ever headmistress Miss Burras. Other guests came from as far as Australia and America. After a welcome from current headteacher Alistair Brien, guests were able to catch up with former classmates, revisit old haunts, look at the school archives and enjoy afternoon tea, served by current pupils,staff and members of the Parents School Association.
Mr Brien said, ‘It's been a delight to welcome back so many Old Girls for such a special and happy occasion.'
