Headteacher's welcome

I am proud to be Headteacher of this thriving grammar school, serving Bournemouth and the surrounding area. With over 1100 girls, including 300 students in the sixth form, BSG is a dynamic and exciting community to work and learn in. We are committed to providing the very best possible education for our pupils, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, in drama and music or in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We are certainly a highly successful school and one of the top performing state schools in the country. Our outstanding 2016 examination results at both GCSE and A level mean that we are the top performing secondary school (private or state) in Bournemouth and Poole and the top performing state school in Dorset and Hampshire. Our last OFSTED inspection recognised that BSG is a special place to be by rating us 'OUTSTANDING' in all aspects of our school life.
