Headteacher's welcome

I am proud to be Headteacher of this thriving grammar school, serving Bournemouth and the surrounding area. With over 1100 girls, including 300 students in the sixth form, BSG is a dynamic and exciting community to work and learn in. We are committed to providing the very best possible pastoral care and education for our pupils, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, in drama and music or in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We are certainly a highly successful school and one of the top performing state schools in the country as seen again by our outstanding 2017 examination results at both GCSE and A level. Our last OFSTED inspection also recognised that BSG is a special place to be by rating us 'OUTSTANDING' in all aspects of our school life. Find out more about us on our website, or even better, come and visit us!
